Activities: Rafting for kids, swimming, hiking, camping, mindfulness
Nights: 4 wilderness, 2 Camp Augusta
The Klamath River is nested in the northeast mountains of California. On the Klamath River, we will spend 4 full days whitewater rafting through the wilderness, packing everything we need for our travels into the boats with us. We will learn to raft through class 2 & 3 rapids. When we are not rafting, we can explore hiking trails along the Klamath River, pan for gold, skip rocks, and go swimming! Wilderness trip leaders are Wilderness First Responder certified in wilderness medicine and have significant training in success counseling and non-violent communication. Wilderness trip leaders will work to provide campers with a mindful experience, leading one mindful activity a day such as yoga, meditation, walks, and team building activities. On our trip we will have the option to explore many side canyons which contain water falls, swimming holes, and many hidden gems only accessible by boat. Campers will leave with new experiences, friends, appreciation for nature and for self.
Experience: Classic- Never whitewater rafted before? This is a great beginning trip for you!
Endurance: 1- You will need to paddle with your boat, otherwise low intensity.
