On the American River, we will spend 3 full days rafting and 1 full day hiking in the local area. We will learn to raft through rapids and take moments in calm water to jump in for a swim.  When we are not rafting, we can explore hiking trails along river, skip rocks, and go swimming! We will be camping next to the river and campers will help to create all meals that the group eats. Wilderness trip leaders are Wilderness First Responder certified in wilderness medicine and have significant training in success counseling and non-violent communication.  Wilderness trip leaders will work to provide campers with a mindful experience, leading one mindful activity a day such as yoga, meditation, walks, and team building activities. On our trip we will have the option to explore many side canyons which contain water falls, swimming holes, and many hidden gems only accessible by boat. Campers will leave with new experiences, friends, appreciation for nature and for self.
